Mandala Penguin - free coloring page

I was fascinated by the 2005 Academy award documentary 'March of the penguins'. At the end of each Antarctic summer, the emperor penguins of the South Pole journey to their traditional breeding grounds in a fascinating mating ritual that is captured in this documentary by intrepid filmmaker Luc Jacquet. The journey across frozen tundra proves to be the simplest part of the ritual, as after the egg is hatched, the female must delicately transfer it to the male and make her way back to the distant sea to nourish herself and bring back food to her newborn chick. Enjoy coloring this fascinating aquatic bird. And if you want to be amazed enjoy viewing the documentary; it will give you a whole new respect for this beautiful creature of nature!

See March of the Penguins 2:

You will experience a journey like no other on the planet—one that spans hundreds of miles across a frozen continent. Braving icy winds, freezing temperatures, and starvation, this is the incredible true story of a family's quest to bring new life into the world. (Source: Wikipedia)

And find out why penguins don't fly.
